owner, bladesmith and leatherworker
Chris
Chris has been working with metal from a young age. A former Skills USA medal winner in welding, he's spent his life constantly adding to his skills.
He started with cutting, welding and fabricating heat treating furnaces for AFC Holcroft in Wixom, Michigan.
After moving to Canada he worked with his mentor, Doug Arstad, at Curcible Foundy doing bronze art castings for various artists, including a piece at the Smithsonian.
He then spent the majority of his career in the aerospace foundry field at DPC in Brampton, Ontario, building metallurgical knowledge and a robust understanding of heat treating.
Chris is now fulling a lifelong dream of making blades for a living, applying the skills he's learned from Bob Puhakka and John Campbell, while working from his rural Ontario home.
