Can I purchase and ship a blade to my country?
We are unable to provide this information due to the incredibly wide range of laws across counties.
It is the responsibility of the buyer, not the seller, to obey all applicable local, provincial/state, federal and international laws in regard to the possession, and or use, of any item purchased.
General Shipping
Who do you ship with?
We ship via Canada Post both domestically and internationally.
Canadian customers can also choose Purolator for faster shipping if they desire.
How fast is shipping + processing?
We will process your order and have it to Canada Post within 1-2 business days of your order (unless otherwise noted on the site).
Shipping will depend on the method you select at checkout. Each method will have an estimated shipping time.
Is tracking provided?
Yes. All orders will come with a tracking number. You will receive this number in an email once your order is fulfilled.
Canadian shipping
How much does shipping cost?
Standard shipping via Canada Post is free for all purchases over $100.
Express shipping is available via UPS at checkout. Rates are calculated based on speed and your location.
USA Shipping
How much is shipping to the USA?
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location and the shipping speed you choose.
**NEW** Due to the changes with tariffs and the requirements of Canada Post to ship to the USA, duties MUST be paid before the package can be shipped. These duties are calculated and added to your total at checkout.
Can you ship as a gift?
No - packages with gift marked but sent from a company will not get around the tariffs.
Why did you put the tariff fees that high?
Our duties and tariffs line is calculated via Shopify using the percentages set by the US government, we have no control over how much this is.
International Shipping
Do you ship internationally?
We ship to most international locations. If you're unable to checkout we may not ship to you at this time.
How much is international shipping?
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location and the shipping speed you choose.
Are duties and taxes included?
For international shipping, duties and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.
Returns & Refunds
Returns
Can I return a blade after purchase?
All products made by Principle Forge are one-of-a-kind, custom, handmade pieces. They are finished to a high quality standard but may still have minor scuffs or light scratches.
If you receive your blade and are not completely satisfied with the appearance you have two weeks from the date the blade is delivered to request a return.
How does a return work?
We will send you a return label to ship the blade with. The blade must be packaged and returned using the original packing materials.
Is there a cost to return my purchase?
Yes, the cost of the return label will be deducted from your refund.
Additionally, once we receive the blade, we will inspect for any new damage. If their are any new damages, the cost of the repair time will also be deducted from the refund.
Refunds
How will I get my refund?
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
How long does it take to get a refund?
We will issues a refund as soon as we have receive your return and inspected it.
Once we've completed the refund process on our end, you'll get an email detailing the refund and you should generally see the funds return within 3-5 business days.
Lifetime Metallurgical Guarantee
What is the Lifetime Metallurgical Guarantee?
The lifetime metallurgical guarantee is for metallurgical defects ONLY. If your blade breaks due to a metallurgical defect, we will replace it with a blade of equal, or greater, value pending a review of the broken blade to determine the cause.
What's not covered by the guarantee?
All other damage is not covered. This includes but is not limited to:
- Misuse
- Accidental drops
- Poor maintenance
- Re-profiling
